I don't have many great things to say about the Extended Stay America at Brickell-Port of Miami. Check-in was extremely slow as we had to wait about 15 minutes before the attendant finished with a customer in front of us. The room was fairly clean, and there was a small kitchen too, but everything was old and musty. You can also easily hear the other people's conversations- the rooms aren't exactly sound proof. They offered high speed internet via Wifi for $5/day which wasn't too bad- though free would've been better. Also they don't give you shampoo so make sure you've brought your own. The price was extremely cheap, so I can live with the negatives. But next time we will probably spend the extra money for a hotel at South Beach. If you intend to visit South Beach that's what I'd recommend too because the cab ride from the Extended Stay America Brickell to the beach costed almost $30 one-way. So you're looking at about $60 of taxi fare that you could have spent on a better hotel at or near Miami beach. The Extended Stay is closer to the Port, so we did save some money there on transportation the next day going to the Cruise Port.

The Verdict: This hotel is inexpensive, but you're better off with a nicer hotel near the beach if you're planning to visit there.
